At Seminole Casino Coconut Creek
Editor’s Note: Both performers are available for media interviews. Please contact Chris Dirato to schedule.
COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (December 1, 2017) – Nectar in Seminole Casino Coconut Creek will host a pair of popular blues performers this month.
On Saturday, December 9, Nick Schnebelen, former member of the famed sibling band Trampled Under Foot, will perform a free show at 8 p.m.
A blues guitarist and singer-songwriter for nearly two decades, Schnebelen is currently touring in advance of his first album as a solo artist. The as-yet-untitled album is scheduled for release early next year.
The Kansas City, Missouri resident spent 15 years as a member of Trampled Under Foot, which included his sister, Danielle, and brother, Kris. During that time period, Schnebelen received the Albert King Award for “Best Guitarist” at the International Blues Competition.
Following Schnebelen’s performance, Texas blues-rocker Chris Duarte will take the Nectar stage on Friday, December 15, at 8 p.m. for a free show.
Duarte’s style of music draws on elements of jazz, blues and rock. He has described his music as a combination of “rockin’ blues” and “punk blues.”
A road warrior who plays more than 150 dates a year, Duarte has headlined major festivals and clubs throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.
From San Antonio, Texas, Duarte’s inspiration was blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan and he credits John Coltrane as his number-one musical idol. He has released 15 albums to date including his most recent – The Fan Club – in 2016.
