COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (December 5, 2016) – Dick Fox’s “Golden Boys” starring Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell will help kick off 2017 at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek with a show on Friday, January 13, at 8 p.m. in The Pavilion.
Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) or by calling 800-653-8000. The Pavilion box office will open at 1 p.m. on the day of the show for on-site ticket purchases.
The “Golden Boys” were three of the most popular teen idols in the late 1950’s and 1960’s. They have proven to be an overwhelming live concert success. Countless television appearances, a special performance for the President and a Golden Boys PBS special have attracted a vast audience of fans from all generations.
Show attendees can expect to hear Avalon hits like “Venus,” “De De Dinah” and “Bobby Sox to Stockings,” while Fabian hits will include “Turn Me Loose,” “Tiger” and “I’m a Man.” Rydell will offer classics like “Volare,” “Wild One” and “Kissin’ Time.”
While their performance puts the spotlight on each individual and their classic hits, Avalon, Fabian and Rydell will also share the stage on several numbers.
Avalon was one of the first rock ’n’ roll teen idols to achieve popularity in the years in between Elvis Presley’s rise to fame and The Beatles arrival in America. He scored his first number one hit – “Venus” – in 1959 and wound up collecting six more top 40 hits that same year.
Fabian became a teen sensation mainly due to a series of performances on Dick Clark’s “American Bandstand.”
Rydell began performing at the age of seven and ultimately became a star at the age of 17 after releasing the 1959 hit “Kissin’ Time.”
Avalon, Fabian and Rydell all hail from Philadelphia.
