Jazz Vocalist Deb Silver to Perform in Legends Lounge
At Seminole Casino Coconut Creek
COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (October 13, 2016) – Jazz vocalist Deb Silver will perform a free show in Legends Lounge at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek on Thursday, October 20, at 7 p.m.
A South Florida resident, Silver recently earned the top spot in Billboard Magazine’s Traditional Jazz Album chart and Heatseeker Album chart following her latest release, The Gold Standards.
On The Gold Standards, Silver performs duets with legendary two-time Grammy-winning vocalist Jack Jones on “I’ve Got a Crush on You,” and with multi-platinum jazz singer Ann Hampton Callaway on “The Glory of Love.” The album was produced by Grammy-winning Steve Tyrell and Jon Allen.
“The Billboard recognition is incredible, yet it inspires me to push myself to work even harder,” said Silver. “I am very thankful to everyone who has supported this album.”
Growing up in Mississippi, Silver said her preferences in music ran as wide as the Mississippi River. However, as she got older, her tastes began to lean towards the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Dinah Washington.
“The more I heard the strength and conviction in their vocals, the more I wanted to find my own place in the musical world,” she recently told Boca Magazine. “My signature ‘Silver spin’ is taking a standard and changing it up a bit with a combination of all the styles I loved listening to while growing up.”
